Going down the history of Arunachal Pradesh, it dates back to the time when Britishers were ruling the Indian subcontinent. In the year 1826, the British took over Assam. At that point of time, Arunachal Pradesh was a part of Assam. Till the year 1912, the Britishers controlled the region now called Arunachal Pradesh from Assam. Arunachal Pradesh became a Union Territory in 1972 and then, a full-fledged state in February 1987.

It lies between the latitude 26o28’N and 29o30'N and longitudes 91o30’E and 96o30'E. It borders Bhutan on the west, Chine on the north and Myanmar (Burma) on the east and the state of Assam on the south. Arunachal Pradesh is endowed with rich flora and fauna.
