Overview

The Statue of Unity is an 182-meter-long statue dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He was one of the primary leaders on the Indian subcontinent, as well as one of the main figures in the process of India’s unification. Statue of Unity tourism welcomes you to this attraction in Kevadia, Gujarat, in the shadow of the Satpura and Vindhyachal hill ranges. It is the tallest statue in the world besides being a source of great national pride to India. The structure rises along the river Narmada which now forms a symbol ‘from the people of Gujarat’ for the leader whose policy priority was the people. It is located on the Sadhu Bet hillock, which is linked to the mainland by a 300-metre-long bridge that can also take visitors to the statue. If you book our Statue of Unity tour package, you can have an enjoyable visiting experience.

For this project, the state government urged Indian farmers to give out the iron required for the statue of Sardar Patel by donating their old farming machinery. Finally, an estimate of 5000 tonnes of iron is presumed to be gathered. Some practical information about the constructions and the history of the leader is presented in an in-house museum located in the statue.

Tourists visit the Statue of Unity mainly from the town of Kevadia; connected by road and rail with other neighboring cities like Ahmedabad and Vadodara. You can get the Statue of Unity tour package from Vadodara and reach the attraction easily. The trip to the monument is a moment in itself because you can see the splendid region of the Narmada district with its greenery and excellent view. The statue is also architecturally significant because of its design and construction. This artifact was designed by the very famous Indian sculptor Ram V. Sutar and the statue shows Sardar Patel in the formal dress of India with a dignified posture that reflects his strong will to fight. The bronze-clad figure is mounted on a pedestal that is 20 meters in height in which there is a museum and an exhibition hall. Enhance your trip with Kiomoi’s Gujarat tour packages and see everything.

Apart from the statute, there is an area to host events such as public-guided nature walks, cultural troupes, and food vendors serving traditional foods. The site also has restaurants, souvenir shops, and rest areas for everyone to visit comfortably. Many cultural programs, exhibitions, and events relating to Indian culture and festivals are organized at the Statue of Unity. These events create more awareness and afford the visitors a chance to feel the diversity in Gujarat. Also, measures are being employed on how the ecological structure of the area can be conserved. These concepts involve the presence of green technologies and the practice of conservation. With our Statue of Unity travel guide you can learn everything about this place in advance.
