Thiruvananthapuram or more popularly Trivandrum is a vibrant and bustling metropolis yet retaining the good old charm of yore. Its long coastline is washed by the Arabian Sea. Mythically Thiruvananthapuram means "City of Lord Anantha" the serpent god upon whom Lord Padmanabha( Vishnu) reclines.
