Darjeeling-Rangit Valley Cable Car
Darjeeling-Rangit Valley Ropeway is India’s oldest passenger cable car being introduced in the British days as transport between Darjeeling and Rangeet Valley. The ropeway takes off from North Point about 3-4 kilometers north of Darjeeling and ends at Singla Bazaar. The ride of 8 km takes 45 minutes and gives magnificent views of the lush green tea gardens below.

Raigadh Fort Ropeway, Maharashtra
Raigadh Fort was the capital of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Due to its location atop a steep hill trekking up to the fort was difficult. That was till 1996 when the Raigad Ropeway provided easy access to the Fort. A 3.9 kms long ropeway that is supposed to be Asia`s highest and the longest links Joshimath with Auli It covers a difficult track distance of 4.15 km in 22 minutes. The ropeway ride is worth every penny as it passes over breathtaking scenery as the starting point Joshimath is at an altitude of 6254 ft in and Auli is at 9896 ft.

The ropeway takes passengers from the bank of Lake Pichola and covers the distance in 4 minutes, giving on the way best views of Lake Pichola, Palace, and Aravali mountains.
