Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati - Nameri

Upon your arrival, start your journey towards Nameri, Nameri National Park is a national park in the foothills of the eastern Himalayas in the Sonitpur District of Assam, India, about 35 km from Tezpur. Nameri is about 9 km from Chariduar, the nearest village. Nameri shares its northern boundary with the Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary of Arunachal Pradesh. Upon arrival there check in hotel and night stay

Day 2: Nameri - Dirang (160 km/5-6 Hours)

  • Post breakfast, proceed to Dirang small hill station in west Kameng district. Its spectacular landscape and beautiful nature will surely please your eyes and comfort your body and soul. We will visit Kalachakra Gompa also referred as Dirang Monastery and perceive the serene land. Witness kiwi orchids, then to Dirang Dzong (fort) which is about 150 years old and has an excellent view of the surrounding. Upon arrival at Dirang, check into the hotel. In the evening you are free to visit the hot water spring, regional sheep farm, Sangti and Yak Research Center. Overnight stay at Dirang.

Day 3: Dirang - Tawang (140 km/6-7 Hours)

  • After relishing a wholesome breakfast, proceed for a drive to Tawang and continue to reach the scenic Sela Pass, the only way that connects the Tawang district of the state to the rest of the country. Besides its geographical importance Sela Pass is a breathtaking place always covered in snow providing some beautiful views of the eastern Himalayan range. En-route visit the famous Sela Lake. Upon reaching Tawang, check in to your hotel. Have a pleasant overnight stay at the Hotel/Homestay in Tawang.

Day 4: Tawang - PTSO Lake - Madhuri Lake - Bum La Pass - Tawang (Optional)

  • Post breakfast, start your day with a breathtaking view of Shonga-tser Lake (Madhuri Lake), surrounded by snow- capped mountains and the valley offer a spectacular view. Next move on to Bum La Pass about 37 kms away from Tawang, it is the indo- china border that lies at 15,200 ft above sea level. On your way back stop by heart lake, PTSO lake, Naghula lake, which will surely make your day. After this return to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay in Tawang. (Madhuri Lake & Bumla Pass tour could be done at an additional cost).

Day 5: Tawang - Bomdila (175 km/ 7-8 Hours)

  • Today after breakfast, you will drive to Bomdila. En-route visit Nag Temple & Gontse Garden Rabgye Ling Monastery. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. If time permits visit the popular Craft Center at Bomdila. The Craft Center at Bomdila is run by the female traders. Here you can buy wooden and bamboo products and colorful clothes made by the people of nearby villages. Also, visit the museum to get the essence of the culture and lifestyle of the local people. Return to the hotel and enjoy overnight stay at Bomdila

Day 6: Bomdila – Bhalukpong 100 Km 3-4 Hrs

  • This morning after breakfast checkout from hotel and transfer towards Bhalukpong Bhalukpong is a small town located along the southern reaches of the Himalayas in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh in India. The town is located at 213m above sea level, here you could visit the sightseeing and come back at hotel and night stay.

Day 7: Bhalukpong – Jorhat

This morning after breakfast transfer towards Jorhat upon arrival their check-in hotel and Jorhat is one of the major cities of Assam. It is the headquarter of Jorhat district, which was carved out of Sivasagar district in 1983. And explore the local and night stay in a hotel

Day 8: Jorhat - Majuli

  • Morning after breakfast, transfer to Neemati Ghat to take ferry for Majuli River Island (World largest inhabited River Island) known as “treasure of Assamese Culture”. We will visit – Kamalabari Satra & Auniati Satra to know about Assamese culture.

Day 9: Majuli - Guwahati

  • Today after breakfast we will drive to Guwahati for your onward journey. Your arrival at Guwahati checks your hotel and night stay. Guwahati is a sprawling city beside the Brahmaputra River in the northeast Indian state of Assam. It’s known for holy sites like the hilltop Kamakhya Temple, featuring shrines to the Hindu deities Shiva and Vishnu. To the east, the 18th-century Navagraha Temple is an astronomical center with planetary shrines.

Day 10: Sightseeing & Departure

  • This morning you can visit the Kamakhya Temple , Balaji Temple, Umananda Temple & Assam State Zoo, Assam Museum etc.after and there after drop you at the airport for your onward destination tour.
