The park is home to some 3000 ibex, elephants, lion-tale macaque and prominently Nilgiri Tahr (an endangered species and found at two places) and many more. Reaching Eravikulam National Park is quiet an escapade as you canÂ?t take your car directly. Two major places famous with anglers are Gravel Banks and Devikulam Lake; almost at a distance of 25 km. Gravel Bank is tucked in the remote corners of Nyamakad Estate. In order to reach Gravel, visitors will have to pass from Eravikulam National Park open area and scenic lures of Nyamakad Tea Estate.</div><div><br></div><div>Note: Anglers must have a permit before going for sports. But the safest bet is to buy tea from TATA Tea Sale Outlet (Phone: 04865-230561-65). You can visit the sales counter between 9.30 am-7 pm at any time, located in the basement of the Company’s Regional office. Lay your hand on the best quality tea such as colonial tea (lowest Rs 140 for half kg), Lemon Tea, Green Tea, etc. White Tea (which is tea bud) is the most expensive tea quality costing Rs 6000. Just not tea, but Eucalyptus, Lemon Grass and Citiodora are some of the other buys here.</div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-weight: 700;">Shop Strawberries</span></div><div>Unlike tea, strawberries are seasonal pickups.
