The Cathedral is situated on Aradura Hill in Kohima. One of the biggest churches in India, its stunning design makes it one of the significant tourist spots of Kohima. This architectural marvel is well-known for its complex design. The building comes with a semicircular (crescent-shaped) structure with its cutting edge detailing giving no room for wastage. Its façade is further designed in lines with the conventional Naga House. It is known as the house of the biggest cross in the nation which is crafted using wood. The brilliant cross is cut in wood and is 16 ft high, perhaps one of the tallest wooden cut crosses in Asia. The Stations of the Cross presented in the entrance passageway has a special feature. It is the representation of Jesus' final excursion with the cross, the last excursion to Calvary. The fourteen stations represent a genuine copy to the dedicated with its beautiful arrangement on the slope of the hill leading up to the Cathedral.
