About andhra pradesh
Andhra Pradesh lies to the south-east of the Indian Peninsula and is bordered by Telangana, Odisha and Chhattisgarh on the north, Karnataka to the west, Tamil Nadu in the south and the Bay of Bengal to the east. The state has the second longest coastline in the country. One of the most frequented places in the state is the Tirupati Temple or the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, a religious site that attracts more than 18.25 million devotees every year. The capital of the state, Hyderabad which is also the capital of Telangana, is world famous for its pearls and diamonds and hence called the City of Pearls. Some traditional places for shopping include the Laad Bazaar, Begum Bazaar and the Sultan Bazaar. Tourists love to relish the delicious biryanis and kebabs here. Some of the best places to visit in Andhra Pradesh are the Hussain Sagar and the Charminar, a 16th-century mosque makes the city a global icon. The natural places of beauty in the state can be well-experienced by tourists at Konaseema, a Delta formed by the river Godavari, its tributaries with the Bay of Bengal. The Andhra Pradesh Tour Packages also takes you to this place also called East Kerala because of the backwaters and its coconut is exported the world over. For adventure seekers, the Horsley Hills in the Chittoor district is the right place to be in. Not to miss here are the famous Viewpoint offering views of the valley and the thick forests, the 40 metres high eucalyptus tree fondly called Kalyani offering amazing travel experiences , and the Windy Rocks. Vishakhapatnam, the largest city of the state is located between the Eastern Ghats and the Bay of Bengal. The Vishakhapatnam Port is the oldest shipyard in India. It is also a natural harbour. A Smart City, it also bears telltale signs of its historic past. From the statues of Buddha in Anakapalle to rock-cut monolithic stupas at Bojjannakonda, Buddhist ruins at Totlakonda to its beaches, wildlife sanctuaries and caves, Vishakhapatnam has a lot to offer to tourists. Araku Valley is a famous hill station here, also called the Ooty of Andhra Pradesh. From a cultural tour of Hyderabad to interesting and exciting travel activities , like rappelling at Bhongir Fort; from the Belum Caves to a cycle ride in Gandikota, there are enough thrilling activities here that will leave travellers spellbound.
