Day 1: Guwahati - Shillong (100 Kms.)
Welcome on arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station. After greetings, we will take you to Shillong, also called 'Scotland of the East' (100 km 3 hrs). While traveling we see the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani) surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies, spend some time at Umiam Lake & you could do boating. Upon arrival at Shillong, check in to your hotel. In the evening you can visit the famous Police Bazar. Overnight stay in the hotel at Shillong

Day 2: Shillong - Cherrapunji
After breakfast, start your journey towards Cherrapunjee with lush green mountains viewing numerous waterfalls falling all over on route to Cherrapunjee. En-route visit, Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls, named after an Elephant like a stone at its foot, the Elephant Falls are amongst the most popular falls in the North-East. Upon arrival at Cherrapunjee, visit Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point, Seven Sisters Falls & amazing Eco Park. Overnight stay in the hotel at Cherrapunjee

Day 3: Cherrapunji - Double Decker Root Bridge Trekking
Early morning (5 AM) your journey (Optional) to Double Decker Root Bridge, deep in the dense tropical forest of Meghalaya is a must-visit destination known for its numerous waterfalls. It's a 3000 step journey (Trek) down the hill and the trek starts from Tyrna Village (10 Kms from Sohra, Cherrapunjee). The approx. time to complete the journey(both ways) is 5-6 Hrs. After returning from double-decker Root Bridge, have lunch & then proceed to visit Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Mawsmai Cave, Nohsngithiang Falls & Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama. Overnight stay in the hotel at Cherrapunjee

Day 4: Cherrapunjee - Mawlynnong - Dawki - Shillong
Today early morning, start your road journey to Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong was awarded the prestigious tag of 'Cleanest Village in Asia' in 2003. Visit Root Bridge & Bamboo Bridge. After Mawlynnong, you will start your journey to the border town of Dawki, a hidden paradise. The driver will keep getting you closer and closer to the Bangladesh plains which you had first spotted from Mawlynnong Village. Umngot River in Dawki is crystal clear & is considered one of the cleanest rivers in India. You can enjoy the boat ride in the river. Later in the evening return to Shillong for overnight stay

Day 5: Shillong Sightseeing & Transfer to Guwahati
After a wholesome breakfast, start your day tour & visit Lady Hydari Park, Ward's Lake and then start your journey to Guwahati, en-route visit the Beadon Bishop View Point. Upon arrival at Guwahati, check-in at the hotel. In the evening enjoy the stunning sunset view Brahmaputra River. Overnight stay at Guwahati

First of all a big thanks to Kiomoi for well designed Meghalaya iterinary. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip right from day1. The interesting part is that our driver was so kind and patient and also knowledgeable to show us all the hidden places of Meghalaya. The only discomfort we faced was, we wer from South india and driver speaks only hindi and not even a single word of English. So we felt some communication gap between us. But other than that it was well planned and executed meghalaya trip. We are looking for more tours with you! Thank you kiomoi and our guide Laxmi is also very kind. Thank you mam!!!
